The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers overseas programs. This research was conducted through observation, interviews and documentation with the research method of the Discrepancy Evaluation Model.
This program covers the period before placement, in placement and after placemen in the destination country. This method evaluates the design, installation, process and results of the implementation of placement and protection programs for Indonesian migrant workers on the aspects of licensing of private companies, the role of district/city governments through one-stop integrated services, the role of labor attaches from the Ministry of Manpower, and supervision National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers.
The conclusions of this study indicate that there are gaps in the design, installation, proses and results of the implementation of the placement and protection of migrant workers programs, which are not yet optimal to be achieved.
